newbie,At some events where there are 500 plus trucks, it will be crowded at some of the major trails, but you can always go to the 160 loop or the canyon area to escape the lookers. At most events in the summer season we have the river ride open so there is one more place to get away. If you have any questions just ask at the front and well show you around or send you with someelse to these places.moronie

Best beginner trails would probably be the 160 Loop, the Bowl Hole, the Canyon, Snake Creek, Sunday Drive (way out on the back side of the park). Ignore the signs that say "Bunny Slopes", that's kind of an inside joke. They were hard before and I doubt they're any easier now. It's a big place though, plenty of good riding for any size rig.
Best time to get there on Sunday would be first thing in the morning, say around 9. Go ahead and plan on it being dusty this weekend also, as dry as it's been.
Hey Tony, there gonna be a River Run on Saturday this time?
