Hey,
I'm new to the board and I've never been to Gray Rock. Trying to get a feel for what to expect. Basically I run around with a small group of friends that enjoy riding, camping, and partying. We stick with the milder side of riding...more into long haul expedition-type trips than serious muddin' or crawlin'. We aren't active in any clubs. We don't trailer our trucks. We tend to make our own fun but we are plenty friendly, lol. We have goofed with everything from old Willys and Jeeps and Broncos to Pinzgauers. Currently we mostly have older Land Rovers. We like poking around off-road, spending the night out under the stars, cooking out, and having a good time. It might be fun to come out and see some guys tear up their trucks...the stuff I have seen on the web about the park has been positive. Can someone tell me how we might fit in with the "regulars" and what may be going on with the February event. I gotta say that if you are a newb there isn't a lot of info on the site to give you a good feel for the "flavor" of these events. Tried calling the number on the site but haven't gotten an answer. Info and opinions would be helpful. Thanks!

Yes, it is an open ride. I have not heard that Rhinos are allowed, but have not asked either.

Info and opinions would be helpful. Thanks! There is plenty to do for your group. There is plenty of stock type trail riding and all of these trials go past the tougher trails that the biggger rigs will be hammering on. You set your own pace and skill level. You can ride, stop a watch, and then load up and ride some more. You can also camp and cook out and enjoy the stars. As far as the "regulars" and "flavour" there is quite a bit of it all, but most everyone is there for the same thing. Off-roading, camping and enjoying the outdoors. Come on and find out for yourself.
